Back pressed against the cold of stone, Bluestorm opened her eyes to mere slits and peered up at the canopy of strangely large trees above her. Her head turned to the side, a branch casting shade overhead but still not shielding her face from the brightness of the afternoon sun. She curled her tail into the air, letting it sweep against the cold ridges of the large Highrock she was laying atop. Her belly fur turned up and exposed to the air. Whilst her back lay flat against it, her legs in the air, but paws curled to tip back towards her body.
She sighed, a long one. Her cheeks poofing, the fur on them well groomed and fluffy.
'No cats to run off to see... Bluestorm?' she asked herself, 'No toy to play with and run across borders to meet?'
Bluestorm looked the sun in the eye. Her gaze piercing it.
'How sad.' she decided, rolling fully onto her side. Gazing at a bird perched in a tree... the one pointing towards WindClan territory. She was resting and rolling boredly atop the great high rock within Fourtrees.
'What else is there to do? On such a gloomy yet beautiful day?' Her eyes scanned the bird, chirping away. Its red breast puffed up proudly, unafraid. The light brown of its wings and head proudly shown through the leaves. Though it was too high up for any cat to jump, she could feel her claws unsheathing and then sheathing themselves. The white of their pearls grating against rock, making the edges sharp but rigid and unattractive.
'Just how I feel today...unattractive.' she thought, turning her gaze away and resting her chin against the edge of the great rock. Peering down. 'What a view... is this how great the leaders feel at gatherings?' Bluestorm wondered, secretly marveling at the splendor of being up so high whilst her face showed indifference to it all. As if it were just another boring detail of her position.
Not that she cared that she could be scolded for being a measly warrior who never paid mind to her clan and was now laying about on top of the high rock which was the very spot great leaders once stood. To her, it was another rock to bask on. Nothing more than an place to lay on.
'Why am I clan cat again?' she questioned, knowing the answer but in her heart thinking that the life of a loner perhaps might be better suited for her kind of lifestyle, 'For the protection of clan, because it was where she was born. Because it cares for her when she is sick. And because there's free food...'
'Pitiful...no?'
