Name:: Whisperkit-Whisperpaw-Whisperpelt-Whisperstar
Age:: 58 moons- 4 years 10 months
Gender:: Female
Rank:: Leader
Clan:: RiverClan
Personality:: Whisperstar likes to keep a calm and sometimes even cold appearance. She's a strict leader, very stern. But only during times of business, as in a clan meeting or at a gathering. In battle she keeps her mind clear, she doesn't jump blindly into a battle and throw random powerful blows at her enemies. She thinks about her plan, calculates what she thinks is her foes weakness and uses tricky moves to confuse them and take them down swiftly and easily. Then moves onto her next victim. As a mentor she is encouraging, but unforgiving. She pushes her apprentices to do their very best. And she does not choose an apprentice lightly, she watches for certain qualities she admires and then decides to take a kit on when their time comes. But that's not so often, and her interest in kits varies. Her first apprentice was given to her randomly, and the kit was a lazy one. She was a fierce mentor and she would take the apprentice out for whole days, coming back with an exhausted apprentice. She never once let up during training, she made sure her apprentice was in tip top shape. Taught them to endure their injuries and how to stay healthy so that they would never fall behind because of sickness. That kit soon grew up to be a very formidable warrior, still alive and well today in his absolute prime always ready to fulfill his duties to his best.
Whisperstar also has a very caring nature to her clan, she watches over them and as leader she is never away from the clan or hiding in her den. She makes sure to hunt for her clan and join patrols, she sometimes helps the Medicine Cat find herbs and comes to comfort the sick in her clan when she can. Looking on at her hurt or sick warrior always with the eyes of a mother. Her pride and joy though are the nursing queens, making sure that she sees that the apprentices take care of them and make sure they have comfortable bedding. Because queens are the reason that her clan flourishes and always has a new flood of apprentices.
Whisperstar views her clan as her kits and her as the watching, caring mother that must defend them and bring them food and protect their home den(the camp) from all threats.
She is extremely passionate in what she does. And her clan mates look up to her and never once has she encountered a cat that has ever betrayed her.
Description:: Whisperstar's pelt is like that of fog, or heavy mist. From afar she may appear a cloud or a white cat even. But in truth her pelt is made from many, many different shades and splotches of both gray and silver. Her ears are large and cone shaped, the inner fur a wispy white that shows brightly against the dark pink of her flesh. Her entire body is lithe and well built. She has the beautiful lean-muscled build that most RiverClan she-cats share. Making her faster, and stronger of a swimmer and runner. A clear example of why RiverClan is always so well-fed, their warriors are the greatest hunters out of the clans since they can cover such a wide variety of different hunting techniques. (and they're also very full of how perfect they are lol).
Whisperstar's pelt is the exact reason for her warrior name. Whisper originally from her mother for how similar she was to the whisper of the wind and fog, and pelt from her leader...for extremely obvious reasons. Her paws look like they were dabbed in metallic silver paint, that's how bright they shine.
Her face is square, but not flat like some cat's. And she does not resemble any sort of Siamese. In fact, her face looks a lot like a bob-cat in a way. Her ears have the white tufts at the tips and everything.
Whisperstar's breed is pretty much 'silver tabby', but she has no black stripes what-so-ever.
Her fur is a medium length, not long, but neither short. and it only grows longer around her face and tail. Like a mane running around her neck and down her spine. *Its a feature that runs in her family*
Her legs are slim, and her paws slightly tiny. Her hing legs are not as thick as most well-fed cats. She's actually pretty tall of a cat compared to her clanmates. =Tall, long legs.
Her tail is quite the plume and trails along behind her, though she likes to twirl and curl it as she walks or runs.
Whisperstar's eyes are a luminescent and bright icy blue. Starting dark around the pupil, then growing lighter as it reaches the edges where a bright silver-blue ring contains the vast colors. When shes mad, she will fix you with her cold icy glare and all the bright colors seem to harden and lose all emotion. Just serving as endless holes of hatred or anger.
History:: Whisperkit was born under unique circumstances. Her mother was a ThunderClan queen, having her first litter. Her mother's name was Firestream*no stealing shes like my copyrighted character!* and she was a bright and beautiful orange tabby she-cat. With magnificent bright green eyes. And her father was believed to be a cat in Shadowclan warrior, Shadowclaw. A large black tom with bright golden eyes. He was her mate, which was never revealed until Firestream's second litter which involved another single kit named 'Shadowkit' a female who was a brilliant tortoiseshell, a perfect blend of her two parents. She was Whisperkit's half-sister.
In truth, Firestream had a different mate before she met Shadowclaw and thus had three litters of his. *different story and I've already have all the three litters of kits as muh characters!* Firestream had origionally met a RiverClan cat named Lunarstorm. A big gray and silver tom with icy blue eyes *hence Whisperstar's looks*. They'd met and fallen in love and she had his kits, much to the surprise of her clan since she never had shown any signs of seeing anyone within the clan. She kept the father a secret and raised the kit within ThunderClan. But when it came time for her apprentice ceremony Whisperkit became Whisperpaw and became the apprentice of a well-known and respected warrior within ThunderClan. It was during her first gathering that she unknowingly met her father Lunarstorm, who'd severed ties with Firestream. Having fallen in love with another cat within his own clan-but evidently that she-cat is unable to have kits due to a strange defect she was born with. Therefore Whisperpaw was his only kit. They sat side by side during that first gathering, and many cats noticed the strange and uncanny resemblance both cats shared. Especially since most of Whisperpaw's markings matched his! The only difference was that she inherited her mother's strange mane-like pattern of fur growth around her neck and tail. Whereas Lunarstorm was strictly a short-furred cat.
Whisperpaw continued her apprenticeship in ThunderClan and attended enough gatherings to get to know Lunarstorm enough for him to finally reveal to him that he was her father. At first she was a bit confused, looking from her mother across the clearing to him. But after opening her eyes to the fact that there was no way Lunarstorm couldn't be her father. She accepted the fact silently. Only partly being troubled that she was half-clan. She'd always been so proud of being a cat of ThunderClan she was a bit broken realizing that she wasn't all ThunderClan.
Lunarstorm inevitably pressured her into coming to RiverClan with her and joining the clan, convincing her that her blood was obviously more like his-using the pelt similarities to prove such- and that she would never be able to become a true warrior if she staid in ThunderClan. Obviously, he was just trying to keep his only kit with him and forget about Firestream, the cat he seduced and made pregnant then threw away.
And of course, Whisperpaw agreed and fled in the middle of the night to RiverClan, going with her father to the leader about her becoming an apprentice of RiverClan.
And it was strange to learn that, the clan Medicine Cat had even had a dream from StarClan foretelling the coming of her to the clan. *prolly cuz shes fated to become leader later on and stuff* So of course the leader accepted her. And thus started a few disputes between the clans because of course ThunderClan noticed their apprentice gone. Firestream was of course broken hearted that her only kit had left her to join her ex-mate that had also left her.
Whisperpaw finished her apprenticeship with her father as her mentor-because the clan had no idea that he had a kit. And of course she became a warrior as Whisperpelt.
She was given her first 'lazy' apprentice very early actually, and she took her role as a warrior surprisingly seriously. She had many friends during her apprentice years, and the whole clan took to her very well. Which was actually a bit surprising considering shes originally from another clan and all. Her father was appointed the clan deputy after their leader died, which wasn't as much a shock to Whisperpelt as it was to the rest of the clan. But she did in fact share in their mourning.
Whisperpelt never did in fact ever think of joining ThunderClan again, she put her old clan completely behind her. Mother and all, who by then had moved on. Her father soon died in battle though, he was getting old anyway. *as a cat...and as a character lol* Whisperpelt was then appointed Deputy.
It was during that time that the whole 'Shadowkit' trouble started between ThunderClan and ShadowClan.
Firestream yet again had a kit that was being fought for between clans. *You got to feel sorry for her as a mother though, right?* Her love for Shadowclaw was revealed to all four clans at a gathering, and that Shadowkit was both ThunderClan and ShadowClan shocked the clans. And of course ShadowClan started to fight for the kit, claiming it rightfully belonged to them.
Whisperpelt was actually disappointing in her mother. She no longer had respect left to the cat who birthed and cared for her-even though Firestream still loves her as her kit. But such hatred is all due to the fact that she was greatly influenced by her father in her younger years. Her true, loving heart comes obviously from her mother. Anyway, Shadowkit was soon attempted to be stolen by ShadowClan. But they lost her escaping on Stepping Stones and she fell into the river, later washing up on the shores near the RiverClan camp. The kit was unrecognized, since no cat from RiverClan had actually ever 'seen' Shadowkit. They adopted her into the clan though. But it was in later gatherings that they learned that the kit was indeed Shadowkit. Who was still in their camp being nursed by a queen who took her in. *Whisperpelt was actually the original warrior who found the kit in the first place* RiverClan stated clearly that they found the kit but would raise it in their camp as a RiverClan cat if the kit wanted. ThunderClan and ShadowClan agreed to it, simply because it was better that neither ThunderClan or ShadowClan kept the kit because they'd always have a grudge. Shadowkit grew up knowing she was never originally from RiverClan. And she always trained her hardest to strive to be her best, to prove to her clan that she was worthy. She though, loved both her parents. Unlike her sister Whisperpelt who she knows nothing about.
Shadowfire was always the only kit that Whisperpelt ever stared at with narrowed eyes. Knowing it was her half-sister. Their relationship never really did improve, even when later on Shadowfire learned that she was kin to her clan deputy. Whisperpelt soon became Whisperstar. And it was then that Shadowfire tried even harder to train and show her worthiness. Wanting to at least know the approval of her older sister. Whisperstar later appointed a cat named Yarrowtail as her deputy. But she began to fall in love with this tom, because he loved to flirt and play with her. She became deeply attached. But he soon died and left her alone, she appointed a new deputy and went through a period of time where she never left her den. Sulking over her loss.
It was the love of her sister Shadowfire that brought her back, bringing to them both a sibling connection. Whisperstar supported her sister from then on, even when her sister had a litter with a cat from ThunderClan. Helping her sister raise her kit by taking it on as her own apprentice. Then when her sister again had kits with the same cat, helped her hand the two kits over to her mate in ThunderClan to be raised there.
*isn't this line of my characters just a little messed up with the half-clan stuff? lol*
Whisperstar ever since has been a great leader~! yay!
Rp Example:: Whisperstar returned to camp, prey clutched in her jaws as she pushed her way carefully through the soggy reeds and sticks of the entrance. Her paws wet and sinking in the moist earth. It rained in the morning when the sun was just coming up, and she had joined the dawn patrol. In her mouth she held two mice, a fat vole, and by the ear she desperately held onto a rather large rabbit.
"What no fish?" a voice came from her side, her eyes flicked to see Yarrowtail coming towards her. Her tail started to quiver in excitement at the sight of him and her pelt grew warm. Her eyes glowing. He took the rabbit from her so she didn't have to worry about dropping it. She purred happily in gratitude. They padded side-by-side towards the fresh-kill pile which was always nice and well stocked. Pelts brushing, Yarrowtail's bright orange one against her misty silver. They dropped off the fresh-kill, taking a piece or two for themselves and padding to a shady spot near the Leader's Den.
"There wasn't much fish in the area of the river I was hunting near, and I was getting plenty so there wasn't a need to." she explained, tucking her paws underneath her and nibbling at her prey, taste testing the plump mouse she chose. Yarrowtail her deputy curled up next to her and sniffed curiously at the sparrow he took.
They watched the clearing of warriors do their duties while they ate quietly, Shadowfire Whisperstar's sister padded back and forth from the Elders, Medicine cat's and Nursery dens taking food to them all. Whisperstar narrowed her eyes in anger at just the sight of the she-cat in the clan. But she honored her leader's decision in taking her in.
Yarrowtail had finished his prey and surprised Whisperstar by swiping her ear affectionately with his tongue. She purred and closed her eyes as he groomed her.
Sharing tongues was normal amongst clan mates, and no one would ever notice that they're actions together were more than a simple bond between leader and deputy. Though she knew she was doing something terribly wrong by falling in love with her deputy when she was a leader. Since his success was only possible by her death, and he could die at any moment. And how would she be able to replace the one she loved?
Indeed she knew there was trouble to be had with this relationship.
But it was sort of the curse of her bloodline now to fall in love with cats you shouldn't. At least she wasn't interested in a cat from another clan!
"How are you feeling?" Yarrowtail wondered, he always cared for her well-being. Pampered her and showed her much affection. Indeed, they love one another. He rubbed his face against her head and she sighed, returning the loving gesture.
"Very well, being here with you." She replied lovingly. He purred and she started to groom his face, taking long licks with her tongue, stroking his head. "You?"
"Same" he replied, eyes closed enjoying the moments they had together. After she finished grooming him they laid out, cuddling while they were sprawled out under the sun's rays. Basking in it.
But a yowl interrupted their moments of perfection and happiness.
A cat crashed through the camp entrance, it was a warrior from RiverClan. He was panting and battered, blood seeping from his shoulder.
"Rogues on the border, they attacked our hunting party. They're trying to steal our prey!" He gasped, Whisperstar leaped to her paws. Her pelt bristling in anger, her eyes turned cold.
"How dare they!" she snarled, her lips curling in an unattractive manner, "I'll tear them to shreds for this!"
Yarrowtail halted her with a brush of his tail, comforting her by resting it across her shoulders.
"I'll go and help." He announced, gathering a few warriors to him, "I'll be back soon after teaching them not to mess with RiverClan. I promise."
They shared a moment of final bliss, rubbing heads before he turned and disappeared at a brisk run with others following close behind him.
Little did Whisperstar know that it was the last time she'd ever see the love of her life.
