This is how it works for appointing cats to certain higher positions.
In the start, when there are NO cats within the clans and high positions are needed anyone may try out for them.
But once the site is going and there are plenty of cats in the clans, only cats within that clan that have already been made may audition for that role.
If a Medicine Cat dies or the role-player becomes inactive the Apprentice(if they have one) will have the decision to become the Medicine Cat. Otherwise an audition will be held for that spot.
If a new deputy is needed, then there will be an audition held for that position but only warriors within the clan can audition for the position.
Once someone wins the Leader will announce the new deputy.
New Leaders, new leaders are the trickiest to replace. If there is a deputy however that deputy will automatically become the new leader.
But if there happens to be both the deputy and Leader are dead or deemed inactive and deleted then there will be an audition open for DEPUTY, and the first place winner will become the new Leader and the second place or runner up will become the new deputy.
In the beginning when the site is low on members we will simply accept the first bio. These positions are pretty much first come, first serve sorta deal.
But at times where we have a lot of members we'll have auditions ETC.

M.C. apprentices are considered staff, but cannot be accepted by Leaders.
If you are thinking of signing up for a M.C. apprentice position it is the sole duty of the Medicine Cat to accept the bio.
